St Thomas's

St Thomas's

St Thomas’ was built in the 1950s as a daughter church to St Mary’s.  At that time, the west of the town, Holtspur was developing rapidly.  The Beaconsfield Team Ministry was formed in the 1970s and since then, St Thomas’ has always had its own strong identity, led by its own vicar, who is part of the team. It has has a strong emphasis on outreach into the local community in Holtspur: It is about to embark on a major research project to look at the local needs and ask how as a church, it could meet some of those needs through its buildings and other resources.

Its tradition has always been more evangelical and informal within the team.  It has a membership of about 60 with a few committed young families and people of all ages represented.  Like the other two churches, there is always plenty to get involved with during the week – house group or Bible study meetings; toddler groups; film nights; social events. Because we are a relatively small church, we think that you will be met with a warm welcome and soon feel part of the family.  There is a church hall which is always busy – for further details of how to hire the facilites, click here
