St Michaels and All Angels

St Michael and All Angels is situated in the New Town in Beaconsfield. It was built to serve the ‘New Town’ community growing up after the opening of a Train station in the early 1900s just outside Beaconsfield Market town. Begun in 1914 the building was consecrated for use in 1916 and so is currently celebrating its centenary year.   Its tradition is Anglo-Catholic or more ‘High Church’ in character.

St Michael's now has an official membership of 132 and is a community that seeks to combine the needs of members of all ages by offering a variety of worship from traditional to family open style. In addition to electoral roll members there is a thriving community of young families that are an important mission and faith development field. The church offers monthly Messy church and annual seasonal themes for families and uses social events to build relationships across the whole church community.

Recently the resources of the church have been developed to serve both local church needs and wider community involvement. In 2012 additional rooms and a church office were added to the hall providing opportunity for film nights, business use and breakout groups. In 2016 to celebrate our centenary, we installed AV equipment, and purchased new chairs and a piano so that the church can offer better facilities for their many social events as well as church services. Our young families are at the heart of our church life and we will continue to listen to God for guidance on how it can serve Beaconsfield in the culture and needs of today.

St Michael and All Angels Church also has a hall which can be used for events. For more information on how to hire the hall, please click here
